Grace in the Fireplace

out of power
out of type
so many blogs
so much hype

the fire in its place
lays words of grace

no hum
no ho
take in
the glow

the fire in its place
lays words of grace

thoughts like smoke
up they flue
nothing else
to do

warm fire in its place
such grace

  1. smiles. i love a good fire...hope the power comes back soon...and glad you grabbed a few of those words before they got out the flue...

  2. Way cool beans-love my fires and your 55 ! Thanks.

  3. The fire in its place
    lays words of grace...

Yes! I love those particular lines. And now, I'm looking for the marshmallows.

  4. Had to do some catching up Jerry. all of these pieces are at turns humbling, humorous and warming. Thanks for that.

  5. I hope the power is restored and you're not too cold. There is something lovely (and spirit restoring) getting back to the basics like fires and quiet.

  6. So cold inside
    You can see your breath
    Thank God for fireplaces
Or else you'd catch your Death!
Sorry about the Power, Spring is just around the corner.
Thanks for playing, your a trooper, Have a Kick Ass Week-End.

  7. I feel your pain, Jerry.

We used to lose power regularly when we lived in Southfield. A fireplace is a real blessing in times like that!

(We'd be screwed if we lost power now - we've got no fireplace in our Westland home!)

  8. i like the heat from a wood fire.

  9. thoughts like smoke, having nothing else to do...i like this..think i could have use for a cozy fire as well..

So, you made a little time to stop by. You are welcome any time...speak freely.
